Owner & Psychotherapist
**Due to upcoming maternity leave, Acacia is not currently taking on new clients**
Hello, my name is Acacia Quaintance. I graduated with my Masters from Case Western Reserve University in 2016. I have worked with addictions, depression, anxiety throughout my career and I specialize in the treatment of trauma, and PTSD, as well as relationship issues. I collaborate with clients to help them to feel safe and comfortable opening up about their life experiences. I use a variety of treatments such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy to help clients accomplish the goals that they have set for themselves.
I also specialize in working with issues related to race. In our community, dealing with mental health injuries can be stigmatizing. It is scary to ask for help especially from a therapist. I believe that it is important to be able to relate to the clinician that you choose to work with. I work hard to stay informed about issues affecting all communities and the best ways to reach clients in different cultural groups.
I provide clinical supervision to Licensed Social Workers (LSW) who are working towards their clinical license. I provide in person for local clinicians as well as online supervision (individual and group). I think that it is important to allow clinicians to raise the issues that they feel are important in supervision and help guide them through clinical work in the field.
In my free time I enjoy traveling and spending time with my husband and stepdaughter.
