Lauren Devany, LPC, CDCA
Lauren loves helping people find calm in the chaos. With depressive symptoms, Lauren helps people find regeneration and inner spark. With manic symptoms, she helps people find balance and self-awareness in the breath. With anxiety, she helps find peace and safety within courage. With overcoming substance abuse, she helps find new purpose and unconditional self-love despite there being no more shortcuts.
Lauren excels at serving those affected by trauma or loss. The trauma may be from a clear one-time event that is remembered better than yesterday. It could be from something more complex such as surviving day-to-day in a traumatic environment over time. Maybe the trauma is inherited or tied to something historical, generational, and/or communal. No matter the source, she loves to be there for people as part of the resolution and she knows how hard it is to try to do it alone.
Lauren graduated from Bowling Green State University with her BA in Psychology (minor in Ethnic Studies) in 2013 and with her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020. She was trained in hypnotherapy in 2016 and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a very effective trauma therapy, in 2022. Lauren has been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2021.
Lauren welcomes everyone as her client, and those most excited to work with her will be the explorers of the universe, deep-soul divers, pioneers of creative frontiers, and those willing to be real with themselves while seeking a better life.
