Anne Smith, MSSA, LSW
Hello, my name is Anne Smith. I graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2016 and am a licensed social worker. I started my career as a school-based social worker in the Cleveland area. Since then, I have spent the last four years completing mental health assessments for clients of all ages in the Akron and Canton area. I have over five years of experience working in-home programs. I have experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
I believe in meeting my clients where they are at in life. I assist my clients in creating a plan to accomplish their goals and will provide encouragement along the way. I use treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy to help clients meet their goals. Seeking help can be uncomfortable and scary, so I strive to create a safe environment for my clients to express themselves in.
My interests include pregnancy related issues, postpartum depression and anxiety, pregnancy loss (miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies), birthing trauma, parental stress, medical trauma, and chronic illness. I currently live in Northeast Ohio with my husband, daughter, and two cats. I am an avid reader, and love doing jigsaw puzzles. I also enjoy hiking on nature trails with my husband, daughter, and two cats. I am an avid reader, and love doing jigsaw puzzles.
